BUSA Recreational Youth Teams

U4 Division Setup

Our U4 program is designed for 3-year-old children to begin learning the game of soccer, socialize with other young children, and mostly have fun.

Our soccer activities/games will be held every Saturday during the season. There will be no practices during the week and a coach will not contact you. All U4 players will meet on the field directly in front of the snack bar. Please check the bulletin board at the entrance of the fields to familiarize yourself with the field layout. Please dress your child in weather appropriate attire (no restrictions other than no earrings or hard hair bows). A red BUSA t-shirt will be given on the first Saturday of the season. They will also need shin guards, some type of running shoe or soccer cleats, a water bottle/drink. Parents, don’t forget a fold up chair! All U4 players must be accompanied by a parent, friend, sibling, or grandparent during activities on the field. If you are in need of help, please ask one of the volunteers to assist you in the snack shed. Please check our Facebook Page for weather updates.

We will hand out the soccer balls on the first Saturday. The balls are the kids to keep, take home, and bring back every Saturday. Snacks will be provided after the games. Hoping to see lots of smiles, happy feet kicking balls, and having tons of fun!

If you have any questions or willing to help with after-game snacks or organization, please email us busa.deridder@gmail.com.

U6-U15 Division Setup

Our U6-U15 program is designed for children aged 4-14 to play on organized, recreational teams. Divisions are split into roughly 2-year cohorts (e.g. 4/5-year-olds in U6, 6/7-year-olds in U8, etc.).

Our games will be held every Saturday during the season (Fall or Spring). Your child's volunteer coach will contact you at the beginning of the season with game and practice info. Teams typically practice 1-2 times during the week. Players will wear a team jersey during the game (no earrings or hard hair bows will be allowed in games). They will also need shin guards, some type of running shoe or soccer cleats, and a water bottle/drink. Parents, don’t forget a fold up chair! Please check our Facebook Page for weather updates.

This program is designed to give kids the opportunity to play soccer, be a part of a team, and most importantly, HAVE FUN! Parents, please remember to keep a positive attitude out there!
